Blog post drought at Independent continues 4

Author: Andrew Grant-Adamson Category: Journalism, Newspapers, Online

Thursday
Jan 11, 2007

Number of days since there has been a new post on any of the Independent’s blogs: 21

The lack of any activity on on this part of the site grows increasingly mysterious. It is hardly credible that the web staff have just forgotten about this part of the site which is linked from a large home page link. Does it somehow represent editor-in-chief Simon Kelner’s lack of commitment to online journalism?

Update Noon: I am starting to feel I am going mad. This morning I read the first few words of the intro and they were unchanged. But a few minutes ago I checked again and realised that the December 21 post on the comedy blog had been extended by two paragraphs and the headline changed from “Comedy at Christmas/NY” to “Comedy in 2007″.  The date of the posting is now January 10 and there is no trace of any post on December 21.

At least we have confirmation that the Indy has not entirely forgotten that it had started their blogs and that they have no understanding whatsoever of blogging.
